1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service and delete the app from your device.
2. Eligibility & Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to use FraudShield. If you are under 18, you are prohibited from creating an account or submitting any content.
3. Account Registration & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activities that occur under your account. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use if you fail to secure your credentials.
4. Service Description & Disclaimer
FraudShield provides community-powered scam reporting and risk scoring. IMPORTANT: RISK SCORES AND ALERTS ARE BASED ON COMMUNITY DATA AND MAY NOT ALWAYS BE ACCURATE.
- We do not guarantee the completeness of reports.
- FraudShield is an informational tool only, not legal or financial advice.
- We are not liable for missed scams (false negatives) or reputational harm (false positives).
5. User-Generated Content
By submitting content, you grant FraudShield a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, display, and reproduce your content for platform purposes. You represent that all reports submitted are accurate to the best of your knowledge.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use FraudShield for illegal activities, mass false-flagging, doxxing, or technical abuse such as scraping or reverse engineering our models.
7. Dispute Resolution & Counter-Notices
If you believe a report about you or your business is inaccurate, you have the right to dispute it via the "Dispute This Report" link. We investigate disputes within 14 business days.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
FraudShield and all its features are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our app code.
9. Payment Terms (Subscriptions)
Premium plans billed in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR) auto-renew unless canceled. No refunds except for technical errors or service unavailability exceeding 7 consecutive days.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We comply with Malaysia's PDPA 2010.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
FraudShield is provided "AS IS". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited for free users or to the amount paid in the last 12 months for subscribers.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify FraudShield from any claims arising from your violation of these terms or content you submit (e.g., defamation claims from false reports).
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Malaysian courts.
14. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or ban users who repeatedly violate Community Guidelines.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal or operational changes. Continued use of the platform constitutes agreement to the updated version.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines constitute the entire agreement between you and FraudShield.
