1. Core Principles
FraudShield is built on community trust. Every scam report helps protect fellow Malaysians. Our core values are:
- Honesty & Accuracy: Report only genuine encounters. Do not fabricate or exaggerate.
- Evidence-Based: Support your claims with verifiable screenshots or records.
- Respect: Focus on facts, not personal attacks.
- Privacy: Redact sensitive personal data (NRIC, full address) from screenshots.
2. What Makes a Good Scam Report?
A high-quality report helps others identify threats quickly.
- Title: Be descriptive (e.g., "Fake Maybank account verification SMS").
- Description: Explain the *how*, *when*, and *what* was claimed.
- Identifier: Provide the phone number, bank account, or URL involved.
3. Prohibited Content
The following will result in immediate removal and potential suspension:
- False/Malicious Reports: Knowingly submitting fabricated scams.
- Harassment: Doxxing or content intended to harm reputation without basis.
- Hate Speech: Targeting groups based on race, religion, or orientation.
- Illegal Activity: Encouraging hacking, threats, or obscenity.
4. Evidence Requirements
| Scam Type | Recommended Evidence |
|---|---|
| Phishing Call | Call log screenshot, Caller ID |
| SMS Phishing | Screenshot showing sender number |
| Investment Scam | Pitch screenshots, payment proof |
| E-commerce | Order proof and non-delivery evidence |
5. Moderation Process
We use a hybrid system to ensure platform integrity:

- Community Flagging: Reports with 5+ community flags are frozen for review.
- Admin Review: Our team reviews escalated cases within 72 hours.
6. Consequences of Violations
- Tier 1: Warning + content removal (minor errors).
- Tier 2: 7-day suspension + reputation penalty (misleading reports).
- Tier 3: Permanent ban (severe/malicious violations).
7. Dispute Resolution for Subjects

9. Special Considerations
- Reporting for others: Get consent and redact their personal info.
- Business vs. Individual: Public businesses have reduced privacy expectations compared to private individuals.
10. Community Values
We encourage Empathy, Collaboration, and Accountability. Avoid victim-blaming or mockery of those who have been scammed.
